Hi Friends,
Today I would like to share with you all my amazing Birthday Exploding Box.
I am sharing a step by step tutorial that is available at Amazing Paper Grace - Creative Encouragement Community.
As a member of the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team, I receive free dies to use in my projects.
To create I used:
Other supplies:
- Scrap 8 - Poppy Constellation
- White card
- Distress Oxide - Wilded Violet
- Pva glue
- 3d foam pads
- Cotton for making flowers and leaves
If you want to make the Birthday box yourself, I have made a tutorial for you.

The inside:
Out of the die, cut out 4 squares of the thin piece.
When cut it must look like this and if you look closely you will see a bit of purple on the right piece.
Put 3d foam pads (5mm x 5mm) on all 4 pieces.
In the middle of the corner, stick the frame piece in that corner so it fits and do that for the left side, the middle and down.
In the middle of the frames, stick the smaller but filled in piece in that so it fits and do that for the left side, the middle and down.
It looks like this:
Cut out the pieces out of the decorative paper (shown below):
Stick some 2-sided tape onto the pieces you just cut out.
Stick them onto the main piece like this below:
COVER
Cut and emboss cardboard for the lid according to the template. Cut off a triangle in each corner as shown below and cut a square which is 10 15/16" x 10 15/16" and 4 rectangles which are 10 15/16" x 15/16":
Glue then all to the cover as shown on the picture:
Glue the lid together as follows:
It should look like this:
This is my best part, decorate it with flowers and fake roots.
Glue the little figure in the middle of the bottom of the box and decorate it with a flower and some fake roots. Decorate the lid and the outside finished:
